Inox Adds Beauty to Mexican Villa
Request a QuotePrivate Residence, Los Cabos
Outdoor living is part of the luxury lifestyle in Los Cabos, Mexico. The Sea of Cortez is edged with pristine beaches of white sand and turquoise waters, and the villas here are the epitome of style and relaxation. The modern aesthetic of one of the villas at the El Dorado Golf and Beach Club required a railing to match.
Railings were not only needed for the floating staircase—a stone open riser with an airy feel—but they were also needed for the spectacular living room space overlooking the ocean. HDI’s inox™ railing system provides a sleek look—indoors and out. Additionally, the high-quality stainless steel and expert engineering make this railing a sturdy and durable choice for the ocean air environment.
Because the ocean view is the focal point of this unique residential space, it was important for the railing not to detract from the sea. Furthermore, the clean lines of the railing’s design mimic the minimalist style of the villa’s interior, so the completed home has a cohesive appearance.
Application:
- Non-corrosive material
- Seamless transition from indoor to outdoor use
- Low-profile design to enhance seaside views
Solution:
- inox™ railing system with multi-line steel infill
Orchestrating Excellence
Designed by accomplished architect Arturo Ponce de Leon, this villa serves as an absolute oasis for its residents. Because much of Los Cabos’ inland landscape consists of mountains and desert, Ponce de Leon took inspiration from finding the beauty and balance in such stark environments.
The inox railing system fills the needs of the unique home by providing safety and durability in the open air living space. The exterior wall of the living room can be opened completely, so the inox railing serves as a defining edge of the home. The railing keeps residents and guests safe by providing a sturdy barrier without compromising the open concept.
Composed of mechanical threaded connections to ensure a precise and secure fitting, inox is a reliable prefabricated railing. All railings are fully assembled in HDI’s factory and then deconstructed into fully assembled sections to ensure efficient, error-proof installation. This approach speeds up the building process, improves ease of installation, and ensures accuracy.
A brushed steel railing base and 5/8” thick infill rods complete the modern look. It was important to choose a material that would withstand the harsh saltwater climate of Los Cabos, so high quality 316 stainless steel was used to prevent corrosion over time.
HDI provided sales support, design, and installation on this unique project to reach an impressive outcome. The commitment to seeing a project through from engineering to installation sets HDI apart from other railing manufacturers, and is evident in the results.
Engineering Luxury
Although HDI railings are typically used in commercial settings, the contemporary appearance of inox proved fitting for the villa at El Dorado. When a space is as minimalistic as this, every detail shows. An HDI railing system was selected for this project to ensure that the quality of the railing matched the standards set by the rest of the home.
When it comes to choosing the best materials, designs, and styles for a luxury home, innovative solutions are often necessary. By using pre-engineered railing systems from HDI, installation timeframes stay manageable and convenient. Best of all, HDI designs have a show-stopping effect when incorporated into a sleek residential setting.
A one-of-a-kind home requires unique details. The inox railing from HDI perfectly accents the high-end design of this luxury villa. It’s an example of form meeting function to serve not only a practical purpose, but an aesthetic one as well.
