The Optik™ Shoe glass railing system, known for its minimalist and sophisticated appearance, was chosen to meet these needs. Davin Pirkola of Garnett Architects shared his insights on the process: “During the shop drawings process, HDI built the stair and railings using 3D modeling and was able to recommend optimal joint locations to maximize the size of the glass panels and minimize joints. This constructive feedback during the review process not only preserved the design integrity of the stair but also kept costs aligned with the budget and maintained necessary code requirements.”
