Program Overview

Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, the participants will be able to:

  1. Basic architectural railing design considerations
  2. Knowledge of various material strengths and options
  3. Material cost and life cycle analysis
  4. Knowledge of IBC, IRC and Federal ADA guidelines related to stairs, ramps, handrails
  5. Design considerations for accessibility and barrier free living

Facilitator Qualifications: All HDI Railing Systems CES facilitators have been trained on CES guidelines and participated in the content development. All facilitators have extensive presentation skills training and experience. Facilitators receive ongoing training of railing systems, relevant building codes, specifications, materials, and possess an understanding of the related building design process.

Method of Delivery: Presenters will use a PowerPoint slide presentation with laptop/projector and material/system samples; handouts will be available for attendee note taking.

Cost to participants: There is no cost for this session. Catered lunch provided at no additional cost.
