HDI Offers BIM/Revit Drafting Details and Drawing Services

It is not always easy to help others see the architectural vision of a completed project when it is still in its earliest planning and preparation stages. The advent of new and powerful 3D design tools over the last decades have dramatically increased our ability to envision and communicate design intent and have radically shifted the entire paradigm of how we design and build. Through the use of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, information and system integration is possible from the initial design stages through the entire lifespan of a building. 3D conceptualization is no longer a challenge, but is instead a powerful tool.
For the last year, technicians at HDI have been hard at work transitioning our design process, with the goal of creating a more intelligent drafting strategy and aligning ourselves with the overwhelming trend towards BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology. While the learning curve has been steep, the power and efficiency provided by parametric modeling is proving a worthwhile investment, and we are currently modeling more of our designs for the creation of approval documents.
These approval drawings or BIM models create an easily understandable version of the envisioned final project; 3D views and renderings will be an integral part of your project with HDI, allowing you to fully realize and communicate your end result before it is even made.
Our goal is not only to leverage this technology internally, but to offer high-quality content that accurately represents not only the basic geometry of our systems, but their inherent flexibility as well. Designers and architects have frequently requested BIM models for their own design use, and we now invite you to collaborate with us for your stair and railing needs from the conceptual stage of design.
HDI is proud to offer Revit Family Files and technical support for the use of the families in conjunction with Revit’s Stair and Railing Tools. With geometry and dimensions that accurately reflect our products, these models are highly customizable and able to reflect the various materials, infill types, and mounting options that we offer within our product lines. HDI’s technicians are ready to assist you to incorporate these families into your models to provide a clear picture of your end result.
Autodesk Revit Family files (.RFA) are now available on our website for our Circum product line and our inox system will be available shortly. We will keep you updated as we release more content in the coming weeks.
