Introducing Woven Cable Infill

There is much to consider when designing the perfect railing system, not the least of which is the type of infill material used between the balusters of the railing. While it is important that infill panels are pleasing to the eye and work within the aesthetic of the surroundings, it must also perform a structural function, reinforcing the railing and supplementing the system’s safety factor.
HDI is pleased to be able to offer a new type of infill among the options available for our railing systems. Woven Cable Infill brings to mind stainless steel fencing, although the quality and strength of woven cable is much higher. Manufactured in Switzerland, the steel cables used to create the infill are the same high grade steel used in our popular KOTO railing system. Each infill panel is custom made to measure, following the same time tested process used in all of our other infill products.
The look of the woven cable after it has been tensioned onto its frame is a refreshing variation from often-used glass infill panels, and influences the overall look of the project without sacrificing sight lines. The material is durable and requires very little maintenance, making it the perfect choice for high-traffic public areas, sporting venues, or any location where heavy use is likely.
When you are considering your next build requiring a custom railing system, or even just looking for a way to modernize the appearance of an existing space while retaining confidence in functionality, talk to an HDI agent about the options Woven Cable Infill can offer.
