New Circum Railings for an Old Company

A company that has been around for nearly 400 years needs to give its home a facelift now and again. So it was that a leading musical instrument manufacturer based in Boston determined it was time to update their headquarters building, originally built in 1972. The plans called for a two-story addition with a large spiral staircase, so the need existed for a contractor to handle designing and installing a railing system for the staircase and a second floor landing. The call went out to HDI.
The general contractors on the build, Campanelli Construction, specifically chose HDI to be the company to provide the railings and glass, and handle all installation. Railing systems for spiral staircases can be complex installations. The railing and infill must turn and rise uniformly and in conjunction with the curve of the staircase. The client chose to go with Circum railings, with clear tempered glass for the entry stair and the second floor balcony. The installation was completed with no problems. HDI’s team then measured for the infill panels and installed those as well!
The end result was pleasing to all involved. Campanelli Construction’s Project Manager David Vroman stated everything went well and everyone was very happy with the results, the client reached out to HDI’s Project Manager Ryan Morgan to express what a great job HDI had done, and that he would refer anyone interested in railing system installation to HDI with no qualms.
If you have a major build or remodeling job on your agenda and are looking for someone to help design and install a railing system, give the experts at HDI a call.
