Circum Railing Delivers the Advantage at Subaru of Lancaster Showroom

The Subaru brand is known for safety — and not to mention, some of the most clever marketing in the auto industry. So when it came time to create an automobile showroom, Subaru of Lancaster needed a design that demonstrated the auto brand’s reliability and fresh, fun attitude. See how HDI Circum™ Round railing delivered the perfect vantage point at the Lancaster Subaru showroom — despite a highly accelerated time frame.

Application:

  • Balcony railing design
  • Expedited time frame

Solution:

  • Circum™ Round Post Railing with stainless steel infill rails

A Striking Solution for an Accelerated Time Frame

To match the Subaru showroom’s modern aesthetic and cool undertones, HDI employed their popular Circum Round system for a custom balcony railing. The stainless steel installation looks striking in front of the showroom’s lime green accent wall. It also complements the Subaru brand’s signature navy blue tone featured throughout the space.

Generally, drawings are completed several weeks prior to an installation and sent to the customer for review and markup. But an accelerated timeline for the Subaru installation bypassed this step.

“Everything we did had to be absolutely perfect,” said Erik Arnold, Project Manager at HDI. With 15 years of experience and dozens of past installations, HDI was able to design and install the railing system in under eight weeks.

Fully Assembled Sections for Efficient Installation

The CIRCUM round post railing system is constructed with mechanical threaded connections to ensure an exact, precise, and secure fitting. All railings are fully assembled in HDI’s factory and then deconstructed into fully assembled sections to ensure efficient installation.

High quality, 304-grade stainless steel with a 240 grain finish was chosen for the infill rails. The rails measure at ⅜” diameter. Posts are constructed from 2″ stainless steel. The midrail distance was adjusted to account for the existing concrete surface, which was not completely flat. The result is a railing that appears perfectly level from all angles.

Initiated in June 2017 and completed in early August, HDI’s Subura showroom railing solution provides a sturdy, attractive vantage point to support the auto dealer’s sales. The modern merger of stainless steel, slate gray, and navy tones help bring the Subaru brand to life.
